Portland Community College (PCC) is thrilled to welcome you to the PCC Opportunity Center at 42nd Avenue(OC42) to introduce you to their new space and community programming opportunities.

Opened in August 2023, the center creates a vibrant hub that connects employers, community members, and the social service system.  OC42 provides opportunities for people to transform their lives through education and career track employment with the intent to reverse racial and economic disparities.

Community partnerships

At OC42, PCC partners with community-based organizations and culturally-specific agencies to engage youth and adults, especially those who are disconnected from education and career or are underrepresented in education and industry. They partner directly with ODHS, NAYA and the PCC Small Business Development Center in the space.

Career preparation

Opportunity Center trainings focus on high-demand industries that offer career paths with economic mobility such as Healthcare, Manufacturing and the Quick Start Semiconductor Technician training.

The future brings a brand-new Multnomah County Healthcare Clinic within the building opening in Spring 2025, and 84 low-income housing units on the PCC footprint in collaboration with Home Forward and NAYA opening in Summer 2025.
