We have a great last minute opportunity to welcome speakers from the Earthquake Ready Burnside Bridge project.

Topic:

Portland’s aging downtown bridges are not expected to withstand a major earthquake. That’s why Multnomah County is taking the lead on making at least one crossing earthquake ready. Located in the heart of downtown and on a regionally established lifeline route, it is critical that the Burnside Bridge is still standing after a major earthquake. The project has looked at over 100 river crossing options and is now recommending one.

Speakers:

Mike Pullen is the spokesman for Multnomah County's Transportation Division, which is leading the Earthquake Ready Burnside Bridge project. He has worked on county transportation projects for more than 20 years.

Cassie Davis does community engagement with HDR Engineering and serves as a liaison between the technical work and community when it comes to infrastructure projects. She has been doing this work in Portland for over seven years. She is supporting Multnomah County on this project.
