Every year about this time, the Leach Botanical Gardens hosts a meeting. It is one of the favorites of the year. Rain or shine, the natural setting of the gardens invites visitors and residents alike. Since 1983, the garden has showcased a unique botanical collection, tranquil setting and an inspiring story of Lilla and John Leach.
The Garden is the crown jewel of public park spaces in Outer Southeast Portland. Wander more than a mile of trails and paths, discovering the Garden's special places. Find the Stone Cabin and the blue dinosaur.
The lush green landscape is also home to a variety of fauna. Deer, rabbits, squirrels are not uncommon. Occasional beaver and weasels may be seen. Hummingbirds and hawks, dragonflies and butterflies make their home here. Johnson Creek is home to fish and other aquatic creatures.
The SE 122nd Avenue bridge is complete. Please use the Creekside parking lot. For trail map and parking lot directions click here.
There will be breakfast goodies from Bella's Italian Market.
