“Last spring we presented to the East Portland Chamber of Commerce about the NE 102^nd Ave Safety Project.

As you may have noticed and experienced, the NE 102^nd Ave Safety Project pilot was installed about a month ago. They have done some anecdotal tracking of the conditions on the street so far. This fall, mostly in October once school is back in session and everyone has had a chance to get used to the new layout, we will do a more comprehensive data collection effort for the pilot evaluation process.

The evaluation process will also include public input. We will open a survey for people to comment on their experience of the roadway in the fall. Once we have gathered the data for the evaluation, we would like to meet with various groups and stakeholders to present our initial findings, answer any remaining questions, and gather more feedback on the project. This round of engagement for the NE 102^nd Ave Safety Project is to help determine how well the project addresses opportunities and concerns raised earlier in the project, as well as identify further opportunities and concerns. The feedback will be used to inform interventions or preserve a record of existing needs that can be addressed in future projects.”
